Aroma of ripe fruits, heavy peat, smoke, some caramel. Flavour is ripe fruit sweetness with notes of alcohol. Finish is dry and smokey. One of the better BA’s from Hof Ten Dormaal.
This dark ale is suffused with hints of vanilla and almonds. Paired with the traditional spiciness of Strong Dark ale I find this gives an almost cakelike note to the beer.
