Beer Description
This is a dark chocolate high gravity stout. We used Valhrona dutched cocoa to give this beer an authentic chocolate background. The malts used include two row barley as a base, as well as roasted barley to give the beer some coffee notes, and a Belgian biscuit malt to bring a cookie-like flavor to the beer. Quite a bit of Magnum hops from Germany were needed in order for them to stand up beside the strong cocoa and malt flavors.
