Beer Description
The style of doppelbock rose out of this practice and now enjoys a modest but passionate fan base. Our take on the style is everything you would expect of a traditional Lenten bock. Judicious amounts of German Munich, Vienna, and Pilsner malts present a rich amber lager with a lasting off-white head. Saying that the mouthfeel is rich doesn’t really do it justice. Cookie-like is more accurate. Freshly toasted bread, raisins, and an overarching vinous quality preface an incredibly malty body.
