Beer Description
We filled our mash for ESB with plenty of of English maris otter and oats, plus a touch of some more characterful malts for some added depth. We steered away from a lot of crystal malt to keep ESB more bready and rustic than sweet and cloying. We then hopped it well with English grown East Kent Goldings and while we boiled those hops we added oyster shells for some increased minerality.
