Beer Description
No. 4 Session IPA is a light, session IPA brewed with Skagit Valley Malt. The name commemorates Lou Gehrig鈥檚 retired jersey number. Pike brews No. 4 Alba IPA as a cause beer for Ales for ALS, funding research to end this disease.
Pike鈥檚 No. 4 Session IPA was brewed for the Nationwide 鈥淎les for ALS鈥濃劉 promotion. Inspiration for the name came from the fact that Lou Gehrig鈥檚 New York Yankees jersey, bearing the No. 4, was permanently retired when he died. A very limited quantity of this beer was brewed and, with this tap label Pike honors Lou鈥檚 memory and hopes to raise awareness and encourage donations to research so that a cure for ALS might be found.
