Beer Description
After under-loading it with chocolate malt, and a grain bill mistake that ended w/ two too many pounds of munich grain, it turned out to be an exceptional beer.
this is quite the stout. It started as an attempt at making a s’more flavored beer. In fact, a better beer than I had hoped for. A beer to rival some of the best imperial stouts I have tried. It’s no s’more, but it is very good. It weighed in at a very nice 8,7% ABV and approx. 60 IBU. It has a sweet taste with hints of the chocolate. The toasted vanilla comes through nicely as this one is made with a vanilla bean and Single Malt Islay Scotch infusion. It has a very thick mouth feel and pours nice with a lasting dark head.
