Beer Description
This extreme IPA is a SMASH! (Single Malt and Single Hop). It is brewed entirely with Maris Otter malt (a traditional brewing malt from England) and Citra hops (An American hop variety with strong citrus and tropical tones – grapefruit, melon, lime, gooseberry, passion fruit). We brewed this ale as a collaboration with Tamarack Brewing Co. in Lakeside Montana. The brewers from each brewery brewed a batch together at Draught Works and then again the next day at Tamarack in Lakeside. Citra Mafia is considered a Triple IPA as it has a very high alcohol content as well as an insane amount of hops. This weighs in at over 3.5 lbs of hops per keg (or more than 7 lbs per barrel)!!
