The name Big Rock Brewery comes from ‘The Big Rock’, a glacial erratic, part of the Foothills Erractic Train and located east of Okotoks, Alberta. It symbolized a number of things to Ed McNally. It was something that had stood the test of time, it was a local phenomenon, and it had a short and snappy nam.
